A Power Dressing Guide for Valentine’s Day

This Valentine’s Day, let the language of fashion be Power Dressing – Match your fearless attitude with bold and defining cuts and silhouettes.

To create a fresh look for this day, I have styled together a H&M single breasted black jacket with a garnet red cropped top from Blackfive and plain black trousers. The figure-fit jacket with a shawl lapel and white accents for the pockets says stature. The crop top ensures that the look isn’t very corporate for a date night on Valentine’s Day. The angular cut outs on the crop top play peek a boo under the jacket, adding an interesting tone to the evening. I’ve added a Lulu Guinness Clutch in a sharp rectangular structure to complement the whole look. It is important to keep in mind that the accessories you pair with a dress follow the same forms as that of the dress. This is the reason for adding the feminine yet edgy House of Harlow classic station necklace. Finally, Red shoes from Guess with golden pointed tips to take those stylish strides.

Why just wear a pretty little red dress when you can experiment with a modern look? Don’t let the dress or skirt in pink and red be your go-to option this Valentine’s Day, instead create a look that matches your personality!

Wishing everyone an amazing Valentine’s Day! I would love to hear how you choose to experiment too!
